One might think that flying as a regular passenger is nothing extraordinary anymore. You board the plane, take your seat, maybe read a newspaper, and wait for the aircraft to leave the airport. The only glimpse you get of the world outside is through one of those tiny windows.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why this flight was particularly exciting for me: thanks to my cooperation partner Air Berlin, I had the unique opportunity not only to get to know the two pilots in the cockpit a bit better, but also to hand over my video camera to them for the entire flight. They were free to film as much as possible \u2014 offering a completely new perspective and insight into everything that happens beyond what passengers usually get to see.<\/p>\n

From the cockpit, the world looks entirely different…<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Captain J\u00fcrgen Leinenweber<\/strong> and his co-pilot Michael Bl\u00fcmel<\/strong> were immediately thrilled by my idea of filming, and the video clearly shows how much fun they had documenting the flight from the cockpit\u2019s perspective. I believe that not only for me, but also for most of the other passengers, footage like this is something truly special\u2014offering a fascinating glimpse into a world that usually only pilots get to experience up in the skies.<\/p>\n
