Finally, a dream is coming true \u2013 Hawaii!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This November\/December, I\u2019ll be embarking on the longest and furthest journey of my life so far: three weeks in paradise. It will also be my longest travel time to date \u2013 nearly 22 hours to get there. And when I arrive, I\u2019ll be 12 time zones away from Germany, literally on the other side of the world. I\u2019ll find myself somewhere between America and Asia, about 5,000 kilometers from either mainland, right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n

When the time comes, I\u2019ll land in a world-famous city: Honolulu. A name that alone is enough to trigger the most exotic associations. So \u2013 welcome, or rather: Aloha from Hawaii!<\/p>\n

As I sit here in Germany writing about my next destination, it all still feels distant and surreal. I remember feeling the same way about Bali \u2013 up until now, my furthest destination, roughly 11,774 kilometers away from Germany as the crow flies. Hawaii is set to beat that distance \u2013 only slightly, but still \u2013 with an impressive 11,996 kilometers in a straight line. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The planning has begun \u2013 What can I experience in 3 weeks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ever since I started diving deeper into Hawaii, I found out that this U.S. state actually consists of more than 120 islands, of which only seven are inhabited. I quickly realized that without island hopping, I wouldn\u2019t be able to truly grasp the full beauty of this destination. So, for my 3-week journey, I\u2019ve decided to visit the following four islands:<\/p>\n
