After my backpacking trip through Thailand last November, I was completely hooked on Southeast Asia.
The region had left a mark on me – its colors, its energy, its people. And I knew: I needed more. Not just one country this time, but three. So I set off on a new adventure – to Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, more precisely: Bali.

Three weeks packed with jaw-dropping moments, unforgettable stories, and incredible souls I had the privilege of meeting.
I felt the raw pulse of the Malaysian rainforest, rode a bus alone from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, visited the highest bar in the world, and soaked in the view that stole my breath. And that’s just the tip of the adventure.

Here, I’m sharing the highlights with you – and if any of this inspires you to one day see these places for yourself, then I’ve done my job. That’s what makes me truly happy. Because travel shapes us. And for that, I’m deeply thankful to the universe (and a little to the Big Guy upstairs), because this world is beautiful. Let’s not let it be destroyed by the mad, the twisted, or the extreme. We’re all the same at heart.

Curious about the full tour?
You’ll soon be able to read the detailed itinerary on my website.

And if you’d like to relive the whole journey through my lens, I’ve got a full travel video coming your way soon.

But first – here are the best moments from the beginning of the trip, starting in Düsseldorf all the way to Singapore, just before flying over to Bali.

👉 Part Two of the journey awaits you here.
