My First Time in Asia. My First Solo Adventure. My First Backpacking Trip.
Three personal firsts – all successfully unlocked. ✔️
And then, quite spontaneously, a fourth milestone joined the list: on the island of Koh Samui, I went scuba diving for the very first time – and not just in a pool, but right in the open water. What an experience!
For nearly three weeks, I explored Thailand on a full-on backpacker adventure. It was a journey packed with vibrant encounters and unforgettable memories – because Asia truly is different. It’s buzzing, warm-hearted, and wonderfully exotic. You leave your everyday life behind the moment you arrive. The local rhythm of life is simply contagious.
And now? Thailand has officially claimed a place in my heart – right next to the USA.
You’ll soon be able to read the full story and route on my website.
If you’d like to relive the entire journey in moving pictures, I highly recommend checking out my travel video diary.
And here are some of the most beautiful moments – from the island of Koh Phangan all the way back to the final stop in Bangkok.
