Asia for the very first time. First solo trip. First time with a backpack.
Three big firsts – and I nailed them all. Check, check, check.
And then, totally spontaneous, a fourth premiere on Koh Samui:
My first-ever professional scuba dive – right into the open water.
For nearly three weeks, I wandered through Thailand on a full-blown backpacking adventure. And wow – Asia really is something else. It’s vibrant. It’s kind. It’s exotic. It’s the kind of place where everyday worries just melt away. The rhythm of local life grabs hold of you – and doesn’t let go.
Thailand officially joins the USA as a place that now has a special place in my heart.
Want to know what the trip looked like in detail? You’ll soon find all the highlights on my website.
And for those who prefer the cinematic version – check out my full video travel diary. 🎥✈️🌏
But for now, here’s a collection of my favorite impressions – from the very first steps in Düsseldorf all the way to the dreamy little backpacker island of Koh Tao in the Thai sea.
👉 Part two of the journey continues right here…
