Pura Vida!
In November 2018, it finally happened – our first adventure in Central America. Destination: the lush, breathtaking country of Costa Rica. And what we experienced there was absolutely mind-blowing… from stunning beaches like Manuel Antonio Bay, to flying along the Pacific coast in a gyrocopter over Tamarindo, to ziplining in Superman position across the longest zipline in Latin America, soaring over deep jungle valleys. We even stayed in a jungle hotel deep in the south of the country – right in the heart of the rainforest.
Three weeks flew by in a heartbeat, and we discovered a country that truly impressed us – not only with its exotic flora and fauna, but also with its warm-hearted people and delicious food. We felt safe the entire time.
From there, our journey led us to Jaco, Costa Rica’s infamous party town, before heading on to Manuel Antonio, home to one of the most beautiful bays in the world – a true gem of the country. Absolutely breathtaking.
Our route then took us all the way south, to the last peninsula of Costa Rica, where we stayed in a jungle lodge surrounded by untouched wilderness. Saying goodbye to the Pacific wasn’t easy – but it was time to return to San José, as home was calling.
How the trip began? That’s all in Part 1 of my travel impressions.
And now – enjoy Part 2: From the Crocodile Bridge, along the Pacific coast, and back to San José.
