Hey there!
It finally happened – I hit the road through Europe with my own car! More precisely, I took a road trip through the Alps. Accompanying me on this adventure was my best friend Ramona from Berlin.

In a way, it felt like a journey back in time. The last time I did a vacation like this in Austria, I was about eight years old, sitting in the back seat. It was a bit like being Marty McFly in a DeLorean, zipping back to the past. So much felt familiar – and yet somehow brand new.

On September 8th, we set off from Düsseldorf, heading toward Berchtesgaden and the beautiful Königssee. From there, we passed Salzburg and Lake Wolfgang, all the way to Hallstatt and the Dachstein Mountains. That marked the easternmost point of our Austrian road trip. From then on, we journeyed west: to Mayrhofen, Seefeld, Sölden – and even made a little detour to the Pitztal Valley. After that, we made our way back home via Bregenz and Lindau.

What we experienced, what to look out for, and all the best tips – you’ll soon find out in my big Alps Rally Movie and the full written travel report.

But for now, enjoy Part 2 of my travel impressions – from Hallstatt to Mayrhofen and Sölden, all the way up to Austria’s highest café at 3,440 meters above sea level!
