After the thrilling adventure in South Africa in November and December 2023, it’s time once again to pack my bags and head off to distant shores. My heart is already beating for the next exotic journey – a revival to some of my all-time favorite destinations in Asia! This time, I’ll be exploring the vibrant capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, the dreamlike island of Bali, and the futuristic metropolis of Singapore. It’s been eight years since my last visit, and I’m more than ready to uncover new sides and hidden gems of these breathtaking places.

Kuala Lumpur: The Perfect Start to the Adventure

Flying with Turkish Airways from Düsseldorf via Istanbul, I’ll arrive in Kuala Lumpur for four days filled with culinary discoveries and stunning architecture. A food tour with a local will introduce me to the secrets of Malaysian cuisine, and of course, I can’t miss the iconic Petronas Twin Towers – the view from the top is absolutely spectacular! I’ll be staying at The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel, centrally located in the Bukit Bintang district – the perfect base for exploring the city.

Bali: Island of Gods and Adventures

On day five, I continue my journey with Air Asia to Bali, where I’ll spend 12 days exploring the island’s many diverse sides. After the hustle and bustle of the big city, I’m ready to relax – two days of unwinding at the Taksu Sanur Hotel, chilling by the pool and the sea, before heading to the untouched northern coast in Lovina.

I haven’t explored this corner yet, and I’m really looking forward to Le Chien Rouge – a centrally located yet peaceful oasis. From here, I’ll be heading out on dolphin tours and excursions to breathtaking waterfalls.

After Lovina, the journey continues to Ubud – the town made famous by Julia Roberts – where I’ll be spending four days at the charming Ketut’s Place Bed & Breakfast. Ubud and its surroundings offer countless opportunities for day trips and cultural experiences.

To top off my stay in Bali, I’ll be unwinding in Seminyak at the Amadea Resort & Villas – right by the sea, perfect for switching off and soaking it all in.

Singapore: Futuristic Flair and Exotic Experiences

From Bali, I continue my journey with Air Asia to Singapore, where four days of exotic big-city flair await me. As a solo traveler, I once again chose the ibis Singapore on Bencoolen – the perfect blend of comfort and affordability. Singapore offers countless highlights: Marina Bay Sands, the highest bar in Asia, and the colorful Chinatown are right at the top of my list.

Homecoming with New Memories

On September 27, I’ll be flying from Singapore back to Kuala Lumpur and then continuing on to Germany the very same day. I’m excited to see what new adventures and encounters await me on my fourth solo trip through Asia. Traveling alone has its own special perks – the freedom to plan and explore at your own pace, and the ease of connecting with locals, make every journey truly unique.

Conclusion

This trip will no doubt become another unforgettable chapter in my travel blog. Join me on my exotic Asia Expedition 2024 and let yourself be inspired by my experiences – adventure, relaxation, and breathtaking moments are all waiting for me!
